I feel a little confused about how to arrange my navigation menu. I thought listing all the categories in a simple way would be enough. Now I notice some stores highlight bestsellers or seasonal items, and it makes me wonder if that helps more.

I already created the main categories and added my products. I organized the layout to look clean and tested it on both laptop and phone. I also checked a few competitor stores to see how they set up their menus.

Even with this done, I still question what drives more engagement. Should navigation menus highlight bestsellers or seasonal trending categories?

Bestsellers are solid all the time because they give shoppers an easy just show me what everyone else likes option. Seasonal categories are great when there's a clear vibe, like holiday gifts or summer gear. Honestly, the easiest win is to do both: keep a small bestseller spot that never changes, and then swap in seasonal highlights when they make sense. It keeps things feeling fresh without making the menu chaotic

Highlighting bestsellers in your navigation menu can provide customers with quick access to popular products and make it easier for them to find items that are well-loved by others. This can help drive engagement as customers are more likely to explore and purchase these items. On the other hand, showcasing seasonal trending categories can create a sense of urgency and relevance, especially for customers looking for specific products during certain times of the year.

Highlighting bestsellers or seasonal trending categories in your navigation can guide visitors to popular or timely products, making it easier for them to decide what to explore. It draws attention to what's relevant or in demand, increases engagement, and can boost conversions by surfacing items customers are more likely to buy without having to dig through every category.

By combining both strategies, you can offer a well-rounded navigation experience that caters to different customer preferences and shopping motivations. Regularly updating and optimizing these sections based on performance data and customer feedback can help you fine-tune your navigation menu to maximize engagement and conversions.

Incorporating bestsellers into your navigation menu allows customers to swiftly locate popular items, simplifying the process of finding well-regarded products. This can enhance customer engagement, as they are more inclined to browse and purchase these sought-after items. Conversely, displaying seasonal trending categories can instill a sense of urgency and timeliness, particularly appealing to customers seeking specific products during particular times of the year.

By highlighting bestsellers, you provide quick access to popular items that are well-liked by other customers, while featuring seasonal trends can create a sense of urgency and relevance.

Highlighting bestsellers allows customers to easily find popular items, enhancing engagement and potentially boosting sales. On the other hand, showcasing seasonal trends can create a sense of urgency and relevance, appealing to customers looking for timely products.

You can use both but lead with seasonal trending. Bestsellers are known to build trust though create urgency in seasonal trending. You should put "Trending Now" first in the navigation for momentum, then keep "Bestsellers" right after it as the safe fallback. This is necessary as bestsellers convert while trends drive discovery.

Balancing bestsellers and seasonal trending categories in your navigation menu is crucial. Highlighting bestsellers provides customers with quick access to popular and trusted products, while showcasing seasonal trends adds a sense of urgency and relevance. Consider placing seasonal trending categories first for momentum and keeping bestsellers as a fallback option to cater to different customer needs.

That's useful for trust. But seasonal trends tap into urgency and discovery. When someone sees Summer Grilling Essentials or Back to School, it matches what's already on their mind. That relevance boosts clicks and conversions. Bestsellers can get stagnant; what sold last winter might not fit today's vibe. Seasonal sections keep your menu fresh, encourage repeat visits, and help you ride cultural waves. Feature seasonal trends prominently, then sprinkle bestseller badges inside those categories. That way, you grab attention and social proof.

Incorporating both bestsellers and seasonal trending categories in your navigation menu can offer a dynamic user experience. Bestsellers provide a sense of trust and reliability, while seasonal trends cater to customers' immediate needs and interests. By emphasizing seasonal categories first for relevance and urgency, you can capture user attention and enhance engagement. Then, strategically integrating bestsellers within these trends can further boost credibility and encourage conversions.
