Marketing is important in the selling process as it creates awareness, generates leads, and provides a base for good relations with customers. Otherwise, sales professional would have to work hard to identify and reach the target market and this will not be enough to facilitate closing the sales.

Marketing focuses on segmenting the market, creating awareness of goods or services and then converting prospects into buyers. Education is usually aimed at improving the remaking right sales stage by providing sales teams with leads and the associated content. A marketing strategy and sales combine to form business expansion strategies.
