There are so many reasons why business majors often face criticism. Some people perceive business degrees as being less challenging than other fields. A most cases often lead to the stereotype that business students are just looking for a quick, easy path to high-paying jobs. There are some other people who have it in mind that business education focuses too much on theory and not enough on practical, hands-on experience. There's also the perception that business majors are driven primarily by money rather than passion or purpose and opportunity to help humanity. However, many business graduates go on to build successful careers and contribute significantly to various industries. You have said it on. Even there are many people that don't believe business should be studied. They believe that you can be a successful business owner even if you don't study business in school or even earn any degree. They see them as wasting their time on things they can just learn informally

A lot of folks think it's an "easy" major compared to stuff like engineering, medicine, or law. Some also assume business is just about making money, talking in meetings, and doing stuff that sounds "not that serious." And since some business topics feel like common sense at first, people underestimate how hard classes like accounting, finance, or economics can actually get. Social media jokes don't help either. But in reality, it's way more work than people think, especially if you're trying to start a business or go into competitive fields.
