Splash pages often fail to contribute effectively to the SEO of an affiliate page because they are typically designed as gateways rather than content-rich pages. These pages usually contain minimal text, heavy use of images or videos, and sometimes scripts that hinder search engines from crawling and indexing meaningful content. Since SEO relies on relevant, keyword-rich text and proper site structure, splash pages offer little to no valuable content for search engines to rank. Additionally, splash pages may cause slower load times, negatively impacting user experience and search rankings. They often lack internal links to other parts of the site, reducing crawlability.

In my opinion, splash pages are not very useful for search engines. When someone visits a page, they want to see the information right away. Search engines also want clear and helpful content. If a splash page does not have that, then it does not help with ranking. It just adds one more step before reaching the real content. It might look good, but it does not give much value. For SEO, I think it is better to go straight to the main content without delay.

Google and other search engines need actual text and keywords to figure out what your page is about. Most splash pages also don't have useful links or info about the product, so search engines kinda shrug and ignore them. On top of that, they can make your site slower, which is another strike against SEO. Basically, splash pages might look cool, but they don't give search engines the stuff they need to rank your page higher.

Splash pages usually don't help SEO because they often have very little content and mostly images or graphics. Search engines need text, links, and relevant information to understand and rank a page. If the splash page just redirects users to the affiliate page, it doesn't pass much value for rankings.

What most people don't is that splash pages are SEO poison for affiliates because they are amplified roadblock. That is you have big image, tiny text, one CTA. You should expect Google to rank what is not readable. At least there should be H1s, in semantic context, with internal links inclusive. To Google, when these are missing it looks like an empty room. It is important to that SEO and paid traffics are opposite games. You can't eat the same cake twice affiliates needs to restrategize.
