Yeah, I've definitely seen policy changes affect sales before. If a store changes their refund policy after you've bought something, usually, it won't affect your purchase. You'll still be able to return or exchange items based on the rules when you bought it. But, it's always good to check because some stores might make exceptions or update things for older buys. Just keep your receipt or any info about the original policy in case you need it.

If when you buy, the policy may still be used for you. It will only affect those that buy after the policy has been changed. It is always better to keep ourselves updated with the merchants terms and conditions for us to know the right time to purchase products for them.

Yes, in most cases the refund policy that applies is the one active at the time of purchase. So even if the merchant updates it later, your order is usually still covered under the original terms. That is why the date of purchase matters a lot.
