It depends.

If you are the type of person that overspends, cannot pay your bills at the end of the and is okay with throwing away money on credit card interest, then you should use a credit card. A credit card will 'finance' your immodest lifestyle, of course, at a cost (i.e. interest).

If you are the type of person that does not overspend, can pay their bills at the end of the month and refuses to pay a penny of interest, then you should use a credit card. A credit card (or, to be more precise, the 'right credit card') will have points or cash back perquisites attached to your spending.

However, if you are the type of person that needs to be forced to live within their means and hates paying interest, then you should use a debit card.

It's great that you've thought about the pros and cons of using both credit and debit cards for your everyday expenses. Understanding your spending habits and financial discipline is crucial when deciding which payment method to go with. For those who can manage their finances responsibly and prefer to earn rewards such as cash back or points, a credit card can be a good option.

Debit cards are fine for discipline. Just don't fall into the minimum payment trap; interest charges will kill any perks. So, credit card for daily coffee and gas, debit card for occasional ATM cash. Treat it like a debit card mentally, and you win. If you tend to overspend, stick with debit. But for most people, credit's the smarter everyday tool.

It's just easier for me because the money comes straight from my bank account, so I can't really spend more than I have. I usually use it for stuff like groceries, transport, and small online buys. It's super convenient since I don't have to carry cash around all the time, and payments go through quickly. I also check my balance on my phone pretty often so I don't overspend without noticing. I've thought about using a credit card, but I feel like a debit card is less risky for me right now. It keeps things simple and helps me manage my money better without stress.
