How will you convince your friends to be freelancers?

Hello BMFers
I have a friend that is into a regular 9 to 5 jobs. Unfortunately for him, the pay is not enough for him. This is the reason why I have been preaching for him to quit the job and face freelancing squarely. But he didn't want to be convinced. He told me that freelancing should not be relied on. He gave me some other reasons as well to negate all what I told him about freelancing. How can I convince him?

As for me I don't try to convince my friend to become a freelancer because everybody has their preferences. The only thing I did is to show them the beauty of freelancer how I am making much money from it than my present day job. If they want more information I am going to give them but if they don't I will keep mute
