For me, it was a commission from a "pickleball paddle" . My site is about fitness gear, but I had never written anything even remotely related to pickleball. I guess someone clicked through one of my links and ended up buying it. I had to Google "pickleball" afterward to even figure out what it was. It was such a weird but funny surprise!
I have earned a commission before from a product that did not even seem serious at first glance. The funny part was that the item looked so random that it felt impossible anyone would actually buy it, yet the commission still showed up later like a complete surprise.
