I'm a bit confused about how refunds and store credits work in e-commerce. I've set up a return policy and accepted a few product returns so far. Sometimes I've given customers their money back using the original payment method. Other times, I offered store credit to encourage future purchases.
I noticed store credits keep the money within the business, but refunds seem more straightforward for customers. I'm not sure when it's better to give a full refund or just credit for the store.
